Boxed Metro Delivery within 10km of the capital city:

For metropolitan areas, we offer boxed delivery, which may require assembly depending on the product. If assembly issues arise and a technician is needed, customers may incur a call-out or service fee. Free Boxed Delivery is available for orders exceeding $500 within Metro areas (within 10km of the capital city), excluding assembly and setup. Metro Pre-Assembled Delivery is an alternative option if assembly is required.

Pre-Assembled Delivery:

Customers can opt for fully assembled and functional product delivery. This option is particularly beneficial for the elderly or those who may struggle with assembly. There is an additional $300 charge for in-home fitting of hospital beds/riser recliner chairs. Please note, in certain rural areas, assembly of large items may not be feasible.

Description

The StabilAir is the perfect blend of a multi-celled air cushion featuring soft, contoured foam tubes within each air cell. Designed with two sizes of foam cylinders for increased stability. The height variation of internal foam provides two benefits: First, the internal foam is contoured, with taller foam around the outside, and shorter foam for the leg troughs, buttocks, and coccyx. This contoured layer of foam provides stability, making it easier to undertake transfers on and off the cushion. The second benefit is that the foam provides a backup or secondary layer of skin protection, which prevents the cushion from fully bottoming out.

This means that a user and care provider can have the "peace of mind" of knowing that should the multi-celled air cushion lose air, the user is safeguarded with a backup layer of skin protection. The air cell cushion's formability ensures good pressure redistribution with a single inflation chamber, which is easy to adjust with a valve.

Single compartment with concealed stability: Within each air cell of the cushion resides a soft foam cylinder that is anatomically contoured, imparting remarkable stability to this single-compartment air cell cushion.

Immersion and Envelopment: The generous air content in the soft foam cylinders facilitates user immersion into the cushion, ensuring optimal envelopment.

Pressure Redistribution: The adaptability of the air cells conforms to the body's structure, reducing the risk of skin tissue deformation. Ideal for both preventing and treating pressure injuries.

Easy Handling: Single compartment requires only one valve adjustment. Provides an ideal balance of user-friendly maintenance and stability, potentially enhancing sitting comfort over time.

Care Instructions

Easy Cleaning for Cushion: Handwash the cushion with soap, baking soda, or vinegar for regular maintenance. To disinfect the cushion, use a 70% alcohol-based disinfectant solution. Machine washable for a short cycle of 10 minutes with a maximum cleaning temperature of 40°C.
Cover Maintenance: Machine washable in warm water with a maximum cleaning temperature of 60°C. Do not bleach the cover. After washing, rinse it in cold water and either line dry or machine dry at a low temperature.
